Coat weight double sided melton wool made in the US. Brand new fabric with grey flecks and camel brushed exterior, tightly woven and heavier weight at over a pound per yard, almost looks felted. This material is stiffer and denser than other fabric and would work well if sewing with thinner seams or clipping inner seams. made of recycled wool and nylon (and a little bit of steel). This fabric weighs in at 2 pounds/yard! Three times heavier than the normal flannel shirt. This material does not fray, is perfect for upholstery or dog coats or heavy jackets. Melton fabric is a dense tightly woven fabric that is felted and heavily brushed for an soft hand. Sold by the yard and cut to order in one continous ppiece. Why wool?
