Flannel weight fabric in a red color with a soft pink undertone and is a double-sided material. It is a wool-rich blend (70% wool/30% nylon). One side is a brushed surface similar to fleece. The other side is a more structured twill. It has a little more body and has a lovely hand. It is thicker than regular fleece, closer to a coating material.
Sews beautifully, not scratchy material with some loft. Washes with no shrinkage in cold water and air dry. Straight off the bolt and made locally in Washington! Warm wool: a shawl, skirt or swing jacket, perhaps a quick scarf with this great fabric.
Why wool? It is natural, sustainable, and renewable. I love how easily it sews with ease. Non-flammable, non-allergenic, and just feels good to wear.
