Soft dark blue gabardine fabric with a high 98% cotton content and 2% lycra, tightly woven with a high thread count. Gabardine is a durable, tightly woven fabric with small raised diagonal ribs on the face and a smooth back. The addition of lycra adds just a touch of stretch on the diagonal. It adds comfort to skirts, dresses, pants, jackets, uniforms, and more. It is a hard-wearing fabric designed for long-term use. The color makes it perfect for dress pants, structured skirts, or a variety of jacket types.
The material has a soft hand that is nice against the skin. Either side of the fabric can be used. The fabric has enough variation in the black to add interest to the material.
It is of medium weight at 8 oz/yard.
